Why is the interface different on the Droid X?

Mostly I can find what I want just fine, except for one thing that is more a nit pik than a problem. When I changed my notification sound, mostly for messaging, it also changed my DROID when I plug in the USB cable (I just love the "droid" speak). How can I leave the notification sound for messaging like i want it, but change the USB connection back to "droid"?

One thing I really like, is swype came with!

I don't know. Have you checked in the X sections?

Use a third party SMS app like Chomp SMS or Handcent SMS, and you should be able to set a different notification sound just for text messages. With Handcent, you can even assign different sounds to different contacts. :)

Yea thanks guys, forgot I had to set handcent differently.
Guess I was more freaked over this motoblur crapola from my Droid 1's more standard interface. I still like the standard interface better.

True. Just an option if you really don't like motoblur

It might be more just getting used to it, after all it is different :)
I just really liked the 2.2 standard interface the best on my Droid 1 (well OK, I liked the original 2.0 unlock screen better).
