After several hours of looking and trying to figure out exactly what roms are out I'm still batting ZERO on if this even exists for D1 I have found the D2 rom however obviously that doesn't work. HELP Please! Thanks in advance.

The DROID 1 can have a boot animation with sound. I remember seeing a guide on it somewhere, but I have used multiple ROM's and bootanimations with sound.

There is a post on this site somewhere, try the search function I was looking at it last night. I was at work though so didn't try it out yet.

If you followed the directions in the boot sound link and put the bootanimation file in the right place(the file you downloaded from the first link), then you need to have the bootanimation.zip and d2_r2d2_pu.ogg in your /system/media/ folder. (downloaded from the second link)

As long as everything is there, you'll get sound when you reboot.
