1. You want that $100.00 in your pocket or an Amazon Fire TV don't you? Well here's the deal. With our new updated look we are in desperate need of an updated logo. The 'old' one has certainly served us well, but it's time. Find all the details here: bit.ly/1q0k6Wa

I thought they would be located in the phone.apk, etc....hence why I was looking for it.

But I don't think they are in there, or I am doing something wrong.

I downloaded the phone.apk from here:

    http://www.droidforums.net/forum/droid-themes/25788-dark-droid-special-edition-beta-release.html

But I still can't get my phone dialer to look like this:

    My dialer looks almost stock.

Also, notice how the clock text color is changed to gold? Can't figure out how to do that either.

I don't want that whole darn theme, just bits and pieces. :(

Sorry, I just didn't want to hijack his thread entirely.

Some of the items are in /system/app/contacts.apk

To be honest I'm not sure why this is other then they are kind of all one app but different packages.

I know not many people have got xultimate to work on an ese build but I honestly got it to change my clock color using the option where you input the rugby value. Twice, once on BB v.8 and then on BB .9. Just took some fiddling with the options. This was after trying every other method I could find.

And yea I'm pretty sure the dialer is in the contacts apk for some reason.

Oh sorry, no, not the clock. I was meaning the dialer numbers dialed color.

The clock color is in services.jar, or framework.jar?

    Pretty sure services.

I replaced the services.jar in my update.zip file and I got stuck on an endless bootanimation. Damn.

Ok, I got the phone part to work with the contacts app. Now I just need to figure out how to get that text changed.

Only thing I can think of that it would be in is like you said...services.jar...but it gives me an endless boot animation when I try to use it :(

Ok here is how I got xultimate to work for me, granted it took a few tries.

Set your phone to usb debug and have your rgb value for the clock color ready before you get started.

run xultimate and enter option <1>, then option <2>,

then option <15> to take you to the advanced menu

then enter option <3> to setup xu

then option <4> to change clock color,

then option <3> for custom clock color, enter your rgb value.

xultimate will ask if you want to push the changes to your phone then it will ask if you wnat to reboot say yes to both and cross your fingers.

I tried this method first and failed, then tried pushing the service.jar a couple different ways always getting the boot loop, then I tried metamorphing the services.jar... bootloop. So I went BACK to xultimate and finally got it to work on bb v.8 and after I updated to v.9 it worked again flawlessly.

Can you install JUST the custom clock color though? Is there a way to make your main text gold as well? Not like icons and everything, but system font like the Verizon Wireless etc

Yea I don't think xultimate will take you much farther than the clock color. Is the rest of the system font stored in the services.jar? I'll keep digging because now that you mention it I wouldn't mind matching those with my theme too.

Thanks. So basically xultimate is just a modular step by step? Install what you want and then cancel out and reboot so the other stuff doesn't take effect?
