I've been going through the Hello World and Hello Views tutorials from developer.android.com, and after having some success getting them to work on an emulator, I want to try putting them on my phone. I followed all the instructions from the above website, and the drivers appeared to install correctly, but I can't get my code to run on the device, and typing "adb devices" in the command prompt fails to list my phone as a device.

I'm running XP, the phone is a Droid Eris, the driver I got as an update from the SDK (USB Driver Package, rev 2).

Is there something I'm doing wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm having the same trouble. My Droid shows up as a removable drive on the system ("Motorola A855 USB Device"), but not as a target device for ADB (my emulated devices shows, but not the Droid).

I know you posted this some months ago, but I hope there's a solution for it.
