Hey Samuri, your PM box is full
Want me to post the links here or wait until you clear out some space and PM them to ya?
I fixed it. Sorry about that. You can PM me now. Clearly my inbox has been....busy lately.
Haha! No worries. I can totally understand what with all the work you've done lately. PM sent.
OP updated with your mirrors. Thanks as always!
Just want to publicly thank SamuriHL. It was a little rough, but I got to .232 and rooted using his help and method in the OP.
Brief summary, tried on my desktop but got stuck on option 3 under .232. I posted the error a few days back if you want to know the exact. I then tried from my laptop and it worked. BTW I was going from stock 905 that was rooted and safestraped. I removed safestrap but left root.
Once on .232 I couldn't re-root. So I ended up FXZ back to 905 with a wipe, then to .232 again. Still wouldn't root. I tried my desktop again and no luck with it. I reinstalled the moto drivers/device manager from the link in the OP and presto, I'm rooted.
Would it have worked without FXZ back to 905, I don't know. I'm happy with it and have it almost back to the way I like. Using Apex launcher too which I love.
One question though, does anyone know what app in TiBu from 905 I need to restore in order to get my text/mms messages back and my phone call logs? Now that I'm on ICS, the apps don't seemed to be the same.
I agree that script is awesome . Instructions were great and I went to 232 from 229 with no data loss, saved so much time . 232 way better for battery and smoothness. Thanks a million Samurai!!
I'm glad you got it mostly where you want to be. As for text messages I BELIEVE that's part of the system data so you have to be REALLY careful and find out EXACTLY which one to restore. If you restore anything other than just that it could seriously mess things up.
Awesome. Glad it worked for you!
Apologies if this is blatantly obvious to everyone but me, but do I need to flash stock 905 prior to using HoB, or is there a built in option to do this for me? I am rocking a pretty old GB rom.
If you're OLDER than 905 you should probably update first.
I Would Not Suggest ReStoring SMS. I Did That And Once And Ran Into A Lot Of Fc's And My Phone Became Pretty Much Useless. I Had To WIpe Everything To Be Able To Use My Phone Again.
