double emails

some of my emails, i use comcast.net for my personal email, come in twice on my phone. they only show up once on my computer but double on the phone. Only of of them on the phone opens, the other you just tap and it blinks and nothing happens.

any ideas?

It is not recording that it has received that message properly.

I would download and try K-9 from the market (make sure you get the Full Version and not the Beta). The included e-mail app has some... issues.
