Does Rooting Erase Everything?

    I'm sorry in advance for asking such a simple question but if I root my Droid, will all my settings, applications, and data be deleted? Also, if it does, I did back up all my data using MyBackup Pro (21 Day Trial), would I be able to restore everything after the root?

    By the way, I was going to use the update.zip file to root me Droid, if that makes any difference, from the link below:

    no they will not
    everything will basically be the same as before.

    it just gives you root access letting change things and run things that you couldn't before it doesnt erase anything!:)
