Does netflix work on X2?

To Anyone who has the phone.

Will the netflix app work on the X2 out of box.

I know there is ways to do it if its been flashed to another rom. But I thought I read somewhere DX2 will support netflix.

YES. It does!

Besides the battery life (though I believe I'm one the few who didn't have an issue with battery life on the TB), the speed, the screen and other things this was a pleasant perk (though not really surprised because the XDA version worked on my son's X) for switching from the thunderbolt to the X2.

You can't download netflix directly from the Market, no

For some reason when I DL the apk it says content is not available for my phone. Not really sure what im doing wrong, help please!

Did you make sure and download the one thats says device-check disabled?

Just got my X2 this afternoon and played with it a bit and am loving it.

In regards The netflix apk that you posted the link to.
Do I have to root my phone to use it?

Im new to the droid scene. Recently bought an android tablet and flashed a new rom onto it so I know a little.

But what exactly do I need to do to get this netflix apk on my droid x2?

Oooh figured it out and its working great.
Im loving this phone.

I simply download the APK in the link in this post. Saved it onto my PC
Then I put the SD card from the phone into my pc and copied the file onto it.
Then I put phone back together.
Opened file management app called astro and went to sd card tapped on the netflix apk and installed it.

Worked perfectly

for some reason it wont let u download the hacked netflix app on some drowsers i had the same problem so i downloaded dolphin mini browser andit downloaded with that browser unfortunately the hacked version doesnt work on the thunderbolt yet

Now that I think about I had to do a workaround as well.

Like you I downloaded it to my pc and since I didn't have my usb cable
I emailed to myself and then it opened up on my phone and installed it.

If your having problems downloading apk (content not supported) its because the browser doesnt support that file tyle. Easy, download astro file manager, go in tools, scroll down and check allow browser downloads. Close and try downloading again. Hopw it helps

I got the most recent one I could find on droid-life and had to uninstall the older version before the new one would install and now it's worworking great including streaming video.
