Does my Droid HAVE to be un-rooted to receive update?

    Im running stock 2.0.1 with the only mod being SPrecovery and root.

    Do I have to un-root to get the 2.1 update? I want to get it over the air!

    With sprecovery you will get a notice of the OTA but it will not be pushed to your phone. you can chose to run it or not.

    just unroot and you will be fine.

    You should probably unroot as at least one person has the OTA 2.1 but still has the ninja icon. They don't have any root privileges, just the icon. Which could lead to a fun story when walking into a VZW store.
