does lookout mobile defense actually work?

i had lookout mobile defense and people tell me it creates viruses. i am wondering if it actually works.

Some people have some pretty creative imaginations. Mobile Defense definitely does not create a virus. I've been running it for months now.

Well Lookout and Mobile Defense are 2 different apps so it depends which one you are asking about. Another option you have is Wave Secure. You can find info on all of these apps by reading these threads:

Right. I don't typically lose my phone. I should have clarified, it was useless for me personally. Maybe it's a lifesaver for someone else.

I use lookout and to me, its the best. it has virus protection, can backup your file, and if you lose your phone, sign in on the computer and it automatically tracks it.
