Does anyone know how to delete your threaded texts convos? and also your call log?

I just got the phone and the user manual is pretty much useless. I have been trying to mess around with it to delete these things but can't figure out how

To delete a text thread go to Messaging, press and hold the thread you want to delete, and then hit Delete Thread.

To delete the call log go to Phone, then Call Log, then the menu button at the bottom (looks like a bunch of lines), and then Clear call og.
