So, do you? I got a good deal on one and I have an account, but VPN services drain on Android like crazy.

I have never used a VPN service for personal use (phones, laptops, Chromebook, etc.). For work, yes. But not for personal use.

I use a VPN on my laptop with few issues. I like the piece of mind.

I do almost no banking/financial transactions on my phone (and delete the app after doing so). So I don't use a VPN, and with unlimited data almost never connect my phone to wifi.

My VPN also allows free install on my phone (up to 5 devices), but I've not tried it.

Yes. It helps prevent unauthorized access to online information.

    Which one are you using?

By the way use an IKEV2 VPN rather than an OpenVPN it's much more efficient than OpenVPN in terms of speed, battery and auto-reconnecting. The downside is that it only uses one port and can therefore be blocked by the isp or government, so if you live in a restrictive country then you're out of luck.

And Surfshark is the first VPN to implement IKEV2 coming across Surfshark VPN review at SurfShark Review 2019 – Is it Really a Top VPN service? I was convinced of their service. But I am not not sure if they are providing the same for Android or iOS apps as well but I am sure they are for windows.

Yes. Online privacy is a major concern. We use IPVanish.

I use a VPN when using my personal laptop on my work's wi-fi network because their firewall is restrictive.... As another poster noted, it seems to exact a toll on the battery if used with an Android phone, though I'll do it if I desperately need access to something the above-mentioned firewall is blocking.
