Around this time news outlets were in an uproar about Mortal Kombat being too violent. This began the censorship of games. In the midst of that were two competing companies trying to capture Monday nights.

^that was pretty much about the last time I paid attention to wrestling when they were split between WWF and WCW. Despite it being over the top it was entertainment. But once the merged I moved on.

Any of you who still watch did I miss anything or am I good remaining retired from watching it?

I watched wrestling until I went to a memphis tv studio and watched it live back in the 80's. watching it on tv vs watching it live made quite a difference in the matches. the choreographs of the match were so different when at the tv studio. it was even different from other live wrestling events and the local armory.

as far as violence in games there has always been those who were against it, some years they are louder than others.
