Do widgets in folders use the same amount of ram...

... as if they were on the desktop (like application shortcuts) or should I even be concerned about those types of widgets.

I realize I should be more concerned about the widgets that hog my resources, but I also want to know what impact the "other' types of widgets would have on my system (in and out of the folder).

widgets in folders? widgets will only use up ram when placed on the desktop (and its hardly any at all)

You can't put a widget in a folder so it won't use any ram.

You cant put a widget in a folder. But even if you could, I dont think you need to be concerned. There are some good posts on how Android handles mem management. If you are interested, do a little research, and dont believe 90% of what you read on these forums about Android task and memory management.
