Do I need a SD card?

I have a Droid X I got off of CowBoom. It is working great. Now I want to download a Bible study app and it gives me some message about needing an SD card. Do I really need one? What good does an SD card do me? I don't use this phone for photos or music. Also can you reccomend any good Bible study Apps?

the phone stores app data on sd card. like the whole bible is a fairly large download it will be stored on the sd card. it saves internal memory . as far as bible study apps cant help you out much. I use cadre bible.

Thanks, so is there an option to save it right onto my phone or must I have the card? I take it by your answer I need the card. I just took a look at the cadre Bible and it looks like something that might work for me. Thanks

Get the card a 2 gig would work but u can get an 8 gig at walmart for 10 bucks or less
