such as easy tether, PDAnet, etc...?
I don't think there are any tethering apps that work on a non-rooted phone. That's why i went back to rooting froyo.
While we have yet to see a billing cycle... the LATEST version of PDAnet (3.0 PC 2.43 for Mac) does not redirect to the upsell page.... at least while wired assuming the same for BT connection but yet to be confirmed.
I'm on stock Gingerbread, and PDANet 3.0 is working fine for me as well.
PDAnet 3.0 is working for me.
i downloaded the software to a USB drive and installed it on a new (well, old) laptop.
sent from my ZombieStomped X
stock, unrooted, gingerbread.
easyteather works fine for me also.
I just do bluetooth tethering, no apps or cables necessary. I checked it last night and it still works just fine after OTA update on stock unrooted phone.
