Distortion Issue

Does anyone experience distortion from the earpiece (not speaker) when on maximum volume? I notice that if I reduce it two steps lower than maximum, it would disappear. Should I go exchange for another one?

I don't know if "distortion" is the right word, it makes a small, but disturbing, vibrating sound inside the earpiece.

My thought is that it is the ear piece you are using, and that you are going beyond what it is capable of handling. Try a better (different) set of earphones.

Hi, thanks for replying. The earpiece I'm referring too is actually on the unit (above the Motorola logo), not a separate headset.

Dang it!!! This buzzing sound next to my ear is killing me Any of you talking on the phone at max. volume experiencing this? It sounds like the mini speaker is tearing up

I'm having the problem even at lower volumes...did you find a resolution?
