Does anybody know how to disable ads on games like angry birds. Its really starting to piss me off so I was wondering if there was a way to disable ads.

    Thanks.

only one i have used is adfree, from the market. it requires root though.
alot of the devs block ads in their programming, flashing custom software is another option.

Please don't take this the wrong way as it's not meant with any disrespect, but you could buy the ad free version of the game/app and support the developer. I like free things, but the ads are the price we pay for "free".

rooting wont do anything to your phone. only you can 'break' your phone once its rooted, and thats by trying to change system stuff or delete the operating system stuff. even then, its actually quite easy to fix a problem.

adfree android is the only ad blocker I use...the reviews say the update broke ad blocking, but I have no problems.

At least for angry birds, you can turn off wifi and mobile data while playing. No data=no ads. Works that way for me

Is this your last problem with charge, the ads? You solved all others: battery, Bluetooth, heat, FCs, Netflix, fring etc? The only way to remove the ads from your phone is to root it and then install addfree or something like that from the market. The rooting information are found in development section.

Buying an ad free version of Angry Birds would be a great solution...um...if they offered a paid/ad free version. Unfortunately they do not have a paid version, making the original poster's question very valid.

I had a droid x for a while. Interestingly, angry Birds never had ads on my x. On my Charge, however, I get the ads. Perhaps I am anal, but the ads are so obnoxious it's hard for me to play the game now. Making it more frustrating, I have all the angry Birds games and the ads are all for other angry Birds games. Ug.

I would recommend rooting ur phone. It is easy and rooting is absolutely harmless. It's what u do after being rooted that can cause problems, but like another user said..u can always fix problems pretty easily if u got adventurous. There are tons of benefits to rooting and really no negatives. It's worth noting tho:

I am rooted and use adfree. This is a great app for situations where the dev only offers ad versions without giving u the option to buy an ad free version (like angry Birds). The real bummer is that, unfortunately, AdFree does not catch the angry Birds ads. For some reason the ads just stay there. It is VERY irritating. I would gladly pay to get rid of the ads...but like I said....there is no paid version!

Has anyone out there successfully removed the ads in the original angry Birds? If so, please share how u removed them.

    Thanks!

Amazon app store has a paid version of the original angry birds. $.99 cents. I just bought to remove the ads. Best buck spent ever. Runs great. No ads popping up during play. I haven't seen 1 ad anywhere. Hope this helps.
