Htc announced earlier this week that ads would be coming to your BlinkFeed. I have never really found a good use for the BlinkFeed. I have always been more of a flipboard user, however i have seen people use BlinkFeed as a way of keeping up with social media, and catch up on their favorite news feeds. There has been quite a bit of backlash with the announcement of ads on BlinkFeed, but it turns out that you can actually opt out of them altogether.
To disable ads in blinkfeed swipe from the left to open the menu panel, tap the menu button (3 dots), tap settings from the menu, go to customize then to "manage ads", then just click "turn off internet based ads". Now you will have a clean Blinkfeed devoid of ads!
