Different Volume Levels

I would like to have the volume of my call ring at a different level than the volume of incoming text or email notifications. Is this possible? I have looked at a couple different applications and it seems when you adjust the volume of one it adjusts the other at the same level.

I'm wanting the ring at maximum volume and the text/email at mid volume.

Yeah, go to the sound preferences and to your ringer volume (yeah, weird). From there, you should see a checkbox that if you uncheck you will be able to set notification volume different than ringer volume.

by default the notification and ringer volume are set to use different levels. the easiest way to adjust their volume level is by going through the settings menu like thaJack suggests.
