Different ringtones for contacts

My friend asked me to figure out how to make each contact have different ringtones for her, I looked and unfortunately I cannot find even one way to do so. Is for the DX. I feel like a newb again for having to ask. Anyone that can help, much appreciated.

this may be different for your rom and her rom since you are using AOSP dialer/contact and she is using Blur.

i just did this on Apex 1.4.1 which uses blur.

open up contacts, scroll to the contact she wants the ringtone for.
tap the persons name (not the phone icon next to it or their picture) the contacts "card" will be displayed
in the contact "card" screen, hit the menu button
edit contact
scroll down to the bottom, and tap the > arrow to the right of "additional info"
a new section of the edit contact will open up with birthday, anniversary ect,
scroll to the bottom again
second from the botton, is Ringtone
tap the "^" arrow to the right and select your ringtone for that contact.

use an app like handcent SMS and you can assign different notifications for any contact.

handcent SMS is an awesome app anyways, far better than the stock SMS

same with GoSMS (giving it a go right now)
open go sms
make sure you are on the main page, not a conversation
menu button
settings
individual settings
add
select the contact and change notifications

i am sure it is similar in handcent
