Ever since Liberty 1.0 in my settings it only allows me to change Phone and Notifications. All notifications are on the same tone...there isnt a option to change each one like a stock phone

Hmm never noticed that. Thought it was the same in stock roms as well with customs on the dx or d2. Might be something to mention to the developer for the next release.

I know that they can be separate because I just did this today.

SMS Ringtone: Messages -> Menu button -> Settings -> Notification Settings -> Select Ringtone

Email Ringtone: Settings -> Sound -> Notification Ringtone

I just changed this earlier because the email notification was annoying me lol hope this works for you!

With any App that gives you a notification Twitter, Handcent,Gmail,stock text app, if you go to that App then press menu, settings,notification options and you can set any tone for any different app. Hope that helps.
