I was running the latest Bugless Beast v0.6.2.1 with the stock kernel, and tried to flash Pete's new 1GHz_LV_2.21.11 kernel, which I figured would work since this Bugless version has Gingerbread implemented. After I installed though, it is just stuck on the Motorola logo and keeps rebooting, and system wipes and cache formats haven't done anything. Help!

Return to your latest backup or flash the ROM again.

I don't have the ROM on my SD card though, and don't have a backup because I just recently reformatted.

Don't worry about it, it's probably the kernel. Just download a different one and install it. Good Luck

Hook up to a pc & mount your sd in recovery to move a rom over.

Bugless Beast 6.2.1 is NOT Gingerbread/2.3. It's Froyo/2.2 with Gingerbread parts (aka the theme). Pete has tweeted that he's going to start working on a Bugless Beast Gingerbread ROM soonish. He has already compiled a stock 2.3, but it's not Bugless Beast.

    Just, FYI.

ALWAYS BACKUP BEFORE YOU FLASH ANYTHING!

Do you have anything you can plug anything micro sd card into? Printers will often have a bunch of memory card slots. If you don't have anything that will read a micro sdcard, go to walmart, target, Best buy, etc. And buy an adapter. You can get adapters for micro sd's that will allow you to plug it into a normal sd card slot.

Then remove your card from your phone (with the phone off). Plug the card directly into the computer and place a rom on your sd card. Then you can plug it back into your phone, and install through recovery.

That's the easiest method I can think of. The other would be flash the rzrecovery sbf and you can browse folders on your sdcard to find a rom from within recovery.

I'd try the adapter first... good luck!

    Edit:
Poontab is right, I forgot you can mount your sdcard from recovery (I've never had to do it). Just mount your sd, transfer a Kernel you know works and a rom in case the kernel doesn't work. Then unmount and flash away.

Incorrect. 0.6.2.1 is Froyo with elements of Gingerbread added in. It is not Gingerbread.

Also, just to beat a dead horse, if you read the page you downloaded the kernel from at peteralfonso.com he specifically says it's for gingerbread only. AND ONTO THE NEXT DEAD HORSE... ALWAYS BACKUP BEFORE FLASHING ANYTHING!!!!!!!!!!

Any luck? You back up and running yet?

I just made this exact same mistake. But I had multiple kernals lying around on my SD card so I just reflashed to one of those and it's fine now.
