Can you tell me how to edit the dictionary on my Droid? I accidentally synched my phone to my Facebook and I don't want my friend's names to come up when I'm texting.

Go to Settings/Lanuage and Keyboard/User Dictionary and you can edit there.

You can also edit it on the fly as you enter messages by long-pressing on each word.

What if that "language/keyboard" is not an option?

On my settings, I see a "locale and text," but no language and keyboard.

I've tried the locale and text instead, but there is no "edit dictionary" option in there (or anywhere else I can find).

I've learned to add words to my dictionary as I'm typing a message, but I want to be able to change or remove ones that are stored.

    There is no:

    "settings
    language and keyboard
    user dictionary"

On the Droid Eris. I'll search other topics for this, but this is the first thread that popped up when I searched for the OP's original question.

My problem is that I have never added anything to my user dictionary, yet when I enter, say "I'm", it tries to enter "O'Neil" instead! I would LOVE to delete that dictionary entry, but it seems I can't, because it is not one I added!

Is there a way to remove words from the dictionary that r initially there. I know u can double click a word that u saved and hit the swype button to delete, but u can't do that with words u didn't save. Too often swype gives me words that I've never heard of and it's annoying. Thanks

Not sure about the Charge, but on my D1 I go to menu\settings\language & keyboards then look for the options under the box checked for swype. I believe it's called Swype Settings. There should be options there to do that. There's also a way to get to the settings from the keyboard.
