DI Unlock/Silence screen?

Wasn't quite sure where to ask this.
I looked around a bit but couldn't find anything. e.e;

(I don't have my phone yet)
But I was wondering if it was possible to customize the unlock screen? I've seen some that you slide down to unlock, and some to slide right (unlock) and left (silence).

Any help would be much appreciated! <3

The variations you have seen are probably from different versions of Android, or it's a root hack.

slide down is from sense ui on htc devices. slide to the right is regular android on the droid
