Eye candy I guess? Sense does have some useful features, like the ability to see all the SMS, e-mails, and Facebook updates from individual users within your contact list. Built in apps like stop watch, voice recorder, and a ringtone trimmer-none of which I never used, lol. but still, they were there.

Yeah, I know you could always add those features yourself from the Market, but none of the Market apps are as visually appealing as Sense. The only feature that I personally would love to have is the music player.

Honestly I'd rather have apps ported to the droid from sense and not the entire ROM.

No...I like everything about Sense the widgets are amazing and the music player Blows the stock android's music player in the water. Then we also get Flash in this rom. This is awesome!.Sense is not just eye candy it also has a lot of features that the Plain Old Android doesn't have.Remember Sense has had Muti Touch since the beginning and Android is FINALLY getting this nice feature.Sense is way better than plain Android and I believe Android should have been Sense from the start!:)

I've owned a European HTC Hero before my droid, which uses SenseUI, and I disagree. Stock Android is WAAAY better than the SenseUI on top.

Sense on a Hero's hardware blows. Sense on a rooted Droid running at 1 or 1.2 GHz is going to make sense absolutely amazing. I don't really know how you can say that stock android is WAAAY better because everything you can do with stock android you can do with a phone running sense. The only thing I could see being better is less lag, which if you're overclocked the lag will not be like on the Heros
