Is there an easier way to delete old email from the trash bin, other than going in and dumping cach and data. I just dont want to reenter all of the info needed for set up. Just a step I would like to avoid if I can. It freed up over 30mb so I need to do it every so often.

funny you should ask this question. my original D1 was getting a force close on my AOL-linked email account out of the blue. never had any problems with it until that. after about 45 minutes of 'checks' at the VZW tech desk, the rep replaced it with a brand new D1.

same problem after syncing my account.

turns out that the AOL account has to be purged of spam, trash, etc... from a PC.

i do that every 3-4 days and havent had a problem since. however, doing it on the phone is a PITA as each and every email has to be checked as 'delete'
