I support Blackberrys at work (unfortunately), and a "Blackberry Orphaned Contacts" group replicated to my Outlook Contacts, which then replicated to my DroidX.

Now I have these contact groups:

Favorites
Blackberry Orphaned Contacts
Google
Work
Phone Contacts

I've already deleted the BB group from Outlook, and it won't go away on my Droid. WTF... How do I delete this stupid contact group?

I'ts not a Gmail contact group. Can it still be deleted on the Google website?

Sounds like you are on an exchange server for this? So I doubt it will be there, but it never hurts to check. I know I had some contacts I imported from my wife's old LG Dare as vcf files that weren't showing in a separate folder but were placed into "Other Contacts". That is where the ones that aren't really complete always seem to show up.
It might also be something to do with syncing your exchange contacts. Is there maybe a copy on the servers that your Outlook links to? Like some sort of backup that is sticking around where the Droid can still see it? Maybe it's something that will clear itself after all the servers sync up if they have more than one?

I deleted the corporate sync account and re-added it. That did the trick.
