Deleating an app icon..

Hey guys.. i deleated an app on my Driod, turned the phone off, and rebooted it. But the app icon is still on the screen. When i pick it, it says, Application not installed on your phone. Anyway to get rid of the icon? I thought they disappeared when you deleated it.

So you want to get rid of the app or just the icon from your screen? How did you 'delete' the icon, because it's odd that it things the app isn't installed?

I went through settings, applications and then manage applications and uninstalled it from there. It was an anti-virus i got from the marketplace..
