Here is the Data Throttling Hack for BB 0.6.2.
I did the hack my self and applied it to mine and it booted up fine.

First boot up will take longer then normal.

Mobile Network Settings will Force Close.

    Download: Unthrottled_BB0.6.2.zip

    Install:
    1. Put the .zip on your sdcard.
    2. Use ROM Manager or boot into recovery and install it.

    1. 1.8 ghz
    2. 800 khz
    3. 600 khz
    4. 300 khz
All were sitting in the same spot one after the other does it seem off to anyone else?

What are those numbers for? Signal strength? Because that has nothing to do with this.

Download the speedtest app from the market and test your speed before and after patch.

Just a random question.... it kind of follows myriad. Is this post saying that my data has been throttled before this is applied? i wasnt aware that VZ throttled any data...but i guess i could be uninformed. :icon_eek:

They throttle the download speeds below what the 3G network is capable of.

As in the speed of which a download is taken? like if i download a 10mb file, will it be 1mbps? or are you saying it would be throttled when you hit a certain download amount?

I've never heard of them throttling. Do you have any solid proof?

It seems like its a relative situation some will.say vz throttles and they'll say they don't and some will say this hack works and some will say it doesn't. I dont personally see a diff but that doesn't neccesarilly mean it doesn't work. My phone is sparatic about everything it does that's why I love the Droid its like a person things work when they want to and when they don't they don't lol
Edit: I see a diff in numbers but not physical usage that got lost in my rant lol

    Pings- same
    Downloads- +70%
    Uploads- same
