i have the htc droid incredible 2 and i'm the minimal $30 data plan... that's not unlimited right?
also, so basically as long as i use wifi i do not need to worry about my data use?

and i also have a few questions that i would LOVE if someone could thoroughly answer :)
    - do automatic updates (for example for games, etc.) require data use? if they do, how can i turn off all automatic updates? or is that not neccessary?
    - many of the apps i download say they require "full internet access". i know as long as i have wifi on, i'm fine. however, what if i'm in a place where i can't connect to wifi / internet? will they keep kinda "running" in the background and use up the 2G of internet provided by verizon? i really can't let that happen....fines. sigh.
-how do i save data while checking mail ? (gmail)
    - and i use "talk" (which came with the phone) and "ebuddy" which i downloaded using wifi. since talk requires background data, should i still use it? or will it not take up that much data...because i do chat a lot on gmail. and if i turn background data off, i'm unable to use "talk", which means i basically need to have background data turned on in order to use it. if i turn background data off while i'm at school for example, but turn it back on at home where i have wifi then should i be okay to use talk without taking up data space? fjdal; does "ebuddy" use data? i'm not sure. same with textplus, which i use. does that require data as well?? because those three apps i think i have to use background data which i can't set for a certain time, should i still use them or not?? and for those three if im at home and i have wifi, it's fine right?

IM REALLY NERVOUS NOW BECAUSE OF THIS 2G DATA THING. soso sorry if this questions was super confusing (actually a lot of questions)
    someon,e please please help.............

obviously i am a newbie and have never been a techie.
    thank youu!

I'm trying to use Droid wall to limit my 3G data to K-9 Mail. That's all I really need it for. Right away, I am in trouble because K-9 requires syncing be turned on. Not Auto Syncing, but syncing.

Don't stop taking updates. The are relatively small compared to most downloads.

You should consider adding the data widget that will monitor your data. Even if you have unlimited, you can see if you over indulge and may be a candidate for throttling!

3G watchdog is very inaccurate.I had it on my phone for two months. And it was off by several GB each month. Don't trust your money with there data measurements.
