Interested in everyone's opinion on this, but would also love to hear specifically from people in central NJ (NYC and Philly areas), if there are any such folks here. I'm really itching to get a new RAZR, but all the data connection misery (here and in the Bionic forum) has me hesitant. Thanks.

My Razr drops a lot but wait it out. A fix should be sent out soon per Verizon. I called last week and the tech said mr2 was being worked on now to fixed the signal drops and will be out shortly.

Out of all the 4g phones out there. You go to the rezound forums and there are hardly any complaints about data dropping issues on that phone. I had it, and never complained about data dropping issues when I had the Rezound. Its a solid phone connection wise. But its a big hefty phone.

To be honest, I'd rather wait for them to fix the RAZR, than buy Rezound now. I prefer Motorola, and prefer the look and feel of the RAZR over the Rezound. But thank you for the suggestion.

All the data connection problems I hear about with this phone seems to come from people on the east coast, for me at least. I live in Colorado and never had data issues. Except after OTA cause I forgot to unfreeze bloat ware :p. I speculate it has a little to do with the region. But I'm not sure. The radio in hi phone is impressive though. Areas in my school were I couldn't get a signal to save my life with my other phones I now get three to four bars. I'm very happy with the razr.

Thought this couldn't really happen. But it did this evening for the first time. All bars but white and no data. Sleep then wake. Data back on.

lol at least ur honest i know what u mean i feel the same about htc.. tho moto is a fine device its what i prefer and what works for me.. a couple my coworkers always complain about dropped data with the razr so maybe next ota hopefully and we are also on the east so maybe poster above is right.. i still cant refrain from shoving my Tbolt in there face and show them what a 4g signal looks like every time they complain! LOL :D

This is my second razr and second SIM card and I am still constantly dropping data. It's driving me crazy. Also, my phone won't wake up from sleep mode unless I press the power button about 20 times...same thing with powering on..... There are lots of things I love about the Razr but these are kind of outweighing that..

You have to hold the power button down to wake it from sleep.
