Im just guessing0 at this but here goes. I purchased a app called set cpu which does the same thing. The kernel has settings to make the phone go faster the highest being 1408 which also uses the most battery the settings ondemand smartass etc are how fast they work. I set mine at 1280 max 245 min mine ius a slider but you can do the same but you have to change in tool box mine ius on my home screen So if I want to go fast I just hit my slider to 1408 just faster but tool box is free.
