Wow. Two excellent roms for us on the X. Life is good.

1. Is there anyone who has actually compared these two?

It's all about preference and different devices run ROM's differently.

I know for a fact both ROM's have tremendous support from the dev's

and others who have come in to provide extra support. I have outstanding

numbers on the life of my battery running Darkslide v4.2. It is fast, smooth,

themed and the animations are great :)

And compared recently, no. I ran the original rubiX Blurry .03 until I updated

to this ROM. Don't see myself switching anytime soon. This has went off without

a hitch and just got better with the update.

I've ran both and really don't see much of a difference. There is a bit more functionality in dark but imo they run the same. Personally im running gummyjar 2.5 and have the best results.

DS4.2 has got my vote for sure. Rub1.95 is a great rom within itself but as Cm8 put it, it's all a personal preference. No two Droids will ever act the same with roms. My DX just simply runs very smooth and fast with DS4.2 . I'll be DS for a while I think unless something Spectacular comes along and My DX approves of it.:)

I have been waiting for a thread like this. I have been running Rubix Focused for months. Each new version being better than the next. My phone is fast, crisp, and smooth, like a Droid is supposed to run. Been thinking of trying a new ROM just to see what else is out there, but why go to a new ROM when this one shows me no flaws.

The only thing that can make me change from DS 4.2 is if UD works out all the kinks for the dx

I have rubix gummy and now am on darkslide. Gummy was fantastic, and I loved the ability to remove data Throttling and the ability to theme, fast as well, and everything seemed to work. Darkslide is the fastest and pretty sweet, but you pretty much have to run it as is. Also darkslide has everything preinstalled, including some blur, making it have no hiccups. Rubix was cool but the slowest of the three and had the most problems with fc and reboots. I'm excited for the gummy jrummy rom that will undoubtably be the best.

I've tried EVERY rom thoroughly if you wanna know about any others just ask.

Just my personal pref but I don't care for all the colors on DS. But an awesome choice for anyone its very well put together. Ive been using RubiX 1.9.5 and have had No FCs. Very fast and Stable. I can tell no diff in battery or speed between the 2. My vote RF..

Rubix 1.9.5 vs. Darkslide 4.2

I've tried both. Darkslide is slower but more stable, Rubix if faster but has some reboot issues...

Anyone have a problem with their Navigation GPS program working since using a custom rom? Mine is always "Searching for location"

Which custom ROM. I've seen tons of posts on Navi problems after

installing a ROM. But you need to be ROM specific and post it on that

thread for more help.
