can flashing your phone many times have a detrimental effect on the phone itself? i noticed that it seems very easy to keep flashing your phone as much as you want with rom manager and was just wondering what the long term ramifications of doing this are, if any?

You might put more wear on your SD card, but I don't thinking flashing the phone's ROM has detrimental effects. To my knowledge, it doesn't have a write limit.

I think at this point we'd know if there was any bad effects from the developers who probably flash many, many times daily.

I understand wondering because I know some devices that are hacked, you are actually flashing a certain part of the device that does have limits to writes. I think roms are different than that kind of hacking.

If it were a problem, my Droid would be toast by now. ;)
