I have searched all over the place. Once I have rooted, how do I make a nandroid backup for my droid 2 global? I have tried the recovery way and the rom manager way with no luck.

Boot into clockworkmod recovery using the d2 bootstrapper by koush (or flash it using rom manager then boot into it through battery pull during boot or plug the phone in without the battery and when it starts to boot unplug then insert the battery), go to backup/restore, and pick restore. No other way to do it.....

Using ROM manager click on backup ROM. I suggest using RZrecovery (raid zero recovery). I was a long time user of ROM manager until I received this suggestion. You can overclock it and it's ridiculously fast. Nandroid backup is under the backup/restore option.
