D2 no service and other minor glitches

So long story short, my Droid 2 found it's way into a 3/4 empty glass of koolaid for .25 seconds. I did the rice thing, cleaned it with rubbing alcohol, etc, etc. Everything is working fine and come to find out, the two visible water damage markers (the one on the phone and the battery) are completely unchanged.

Only problem is doesn't have service at all, and the date has somehow changed to December 31 1969.

Is it still possible for me to return it?

HELP?
