There are many reasons to love the LG G4's LG UX 4.0! It features a pretty clean flat user interface that doesn't bog down the phone too much. There are a few really nice features including a really nice camera app with DSLR controls. The G4 is now running its skin over the top of Android 6.0 Marshmallow so there are even more features included in the stock firmware.

All that being said, if you are an Android purists Cyanogen has finally begun to roll out nightly builds for the LG G4. CyanogenMod 12.1 will take you back to lollipop and get rid of some of LG's included features, but it will allow you to experience stock AOSP with no bloatware on the device. Overall CyanogenMod is generally lighter than its OEM skin counterparts and normally includes optimizations for speed and performance not to mention some very useful customization options.

To install CM on your G4 you will need to be bootloader unlocked with a custom recovery installed. Also be sure that you do install the Gapps package this way you won't be without the Google Play Store! Grab nightlies from the link below.
