With Google having released Marshmallow to Nexus devices a few months back it is not unfounded that Cyanogen started rolling out CM13 nightlies to many devices. It is a bit uncharacteristic of them to move forward with the next iteration of Android before completing the previous version of Android. In the past Cyanogen has maintained focus on the current build until they were ready to release a Final build before moving head long into development of the next generation of Android. That meant they were often a little late to the game in bringing the latest and greatest versions of Android to supported devices.

This time around they got busy on nightlies right away. You won't find me complaining about that! In doing this they seemingly eased up on 12.1 development. We have not seen a Snapshot build of 12.1 in 2 months. Today we finally have a new 12.1 snapshot build! In case you aren't familiar a Snapshot build is not "Stable" build and its not a "Nightly" build. It is somewhere in between. These builds have been tested and are known to contain minimal bugs. These are daily driver ready builds.

So far the new builds are available for the 2013 Moto X, Droid Ultra, and Droid Maxx. The Snapshot build will be rolling out to many other devices soon! Head to the link below for the download.
