O and if you want to change the eri banner as the person above stated let me know as i was just helped by tparker76 on how to do that and through some trial and error we were able to get it working
Ya that app didnt work too well, anyway to edit it somehow?
gotta be a diff way
You mean the eri banner?
Yea here is how i did it
Back up your stuff in clockwork in case anything goes wrong
Copy and paste the eri.xml file using root explorer. It's located at in the framework-res.apk which is located at /system/framework. Select the apk and select view open res then xml and select and hold eri.xml and select extract. Then go back to /system/framework and select and hold the framework-res.apk file and select copy and paste it to the root of your sd card. While at the root of your sd card select the extracted folder and copy and paste the eri.xml file to the root of your sd card.
Now connect your phone to your computer and move both files to your desktop. Download HxD hex editor and open the eri.xml file in this program. Then go to were it says verizon wireless and replace it with something the same length. For me I wrote George's Droid and then put two spaces after the word Droid. Once done save the file. Open the framework-res.apk with 7zip and go to where the original eri.xml file is and replace it with the one you just edited in HxD. Now move the newly edited framework-res.apk file to the root of your sd card disconnect from your computer and open terminal emulator. Type these commands to push the new file to your system/framework
cp -R framework-res.apk /system/framework
Once the phone reboots you should have a custom eri banner
Let me know if you need any more help
Thanks for posting this! It worked great, had to re-sign in to google and the calendar, no biggie there!
