Custom Icons

I am currently on CM7 and I was wondering how you could replace the original icons. I have an icon pack, but I am not sure how I would go about doing this. I put it in a zip file on my sd card and tried to use launcher pro to open it up, but I was unable. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Use adw ex launcher. its great. and it has tones of themes that are very easy to apply.
