OK, so I've been reading up the few threads that we have on tutorials about custom boot animations, but I'm still running into some problems. So I was able to install the advanced properly into my windows 7 machine and it works fine when I connect my phone and use the "adb shell" command, but after that is when it gets tricky.....
I copied the boot animation I wanted into my tools directory (c:\android\tools\animation.zip)
From within the command prompt I do:
    Code:
    adb shell
    Adb push animation.zip /data/local

I get permission denied so I try "su" , but when running the command again I get "adb not found"

Is there something im missing here? I've tried renaming, typing different directories, but still no luck

Yes rename it to bootanimation.zip like he said but you dont have to use
    adb shell
    su.

In your command prompt cd to the tools dir and then just type in

    adb push bootanimation.zip /data/local

    Thatll work. =)

Whoops. My bad. I was trying to go from memory. I'm at work. Another way to do this is by using ddms, but I don't want to confuse anymore than I already have.
