samsung puts gorilla glass on all their high end devices, whether it's straight surface or curved, it can be a round globe. glass can be molded into any shape.

If the back is curved too, you could put a raisin on each edge and use the phone as a seesaw

I found this pretty amusing...

I don't see what the big deal is with Gorilla glass. My X doesn't have it and its been the best screen I've owned. No scratches anywhere whatsoever.

Considering the X was the first phone advertised with it, you should be fine.
