Maybe you should backup your sd card to your computer and then format your sd through the droid.

I have tried everything from formatting, exchanging with verizon sd cards, doing the same thing u did numerous times, reinstalling rom manager, flashing sprecovery and flashing back to clockwork..wiped everything..u name it I don't it. Lol. The only thing that works is when I put a sd card less than 16 gigs in my phone it will read....right now with the 16 gig, it only reads when it want to. I could try to reboot 20 times and it will work, or it could be like 5 times. Luck of the draw. I can get into recovery, it just won't mount and I have asked on here and can't noone figure it out. Haha. So I am having to troubleshoot by my own instincts

    Next Time, Try This...

After you get this error, return to clockwork recovery main menu & follow these steps:

    1. choose Partitions
    2. mount /sdcard
    3. umount /sdcard
Saw this on another forum, can't remember the OP'er, but it worked for me --
