One of the most annoying things to me about the gmail app and the voice app is the inability to choose what menu it opens in. It is defaulted to the "inbox". I would like to set it to my "labels" menu when I launch the app.
So any of you smart developers out there think this can be done? If so can ya give it a shot?

I think you can create a shortcut on you home screen to achieve your goal. Right long press where you want your shortcut, select the label in shortcuts you want, and you are done. It will always launch that label when you click on your shortcut.

For gmail, you can do as described above - create a shortcut to a gmail label. Every label works EXCEPT inbox. If you have an inbox shortcut, it will still open to whatever email was previously opened.

There is no such support for shortcuts in Google Voice (yet) unfortunately.
