Copy rom to root of sd card

How do you copy a rom from the downloads folder to the root of your sd card from your droid x?

Use a file manager like astro. Long press the zip and select move. Then just paste it ok the root of the card (not in any folders)

Lol, im new to this so bare with me, how do get it on the root of my card lol, like I select move, go to sd card where all my files are and then....

Choose to paste it. What file browser are you using? The stock one?

Yeah the stock one, so I just paste it where there isn't any folders?

Ya. Just paste it there. That area where all of the folders originate is known as the root or base. Think of it like this, the zip was in
Sdcard/downloads/
And you are going to move it to
Sdcard/
