.... detect all the cops in my driving area.
IR is not radar. Totally different wavelengths. But iv never heard of it since the droid doesnt have the right hardware to detect radar such as IR like some Cop Radars detect...
Trust me,I have a Cop buddy. The new radar they use is IR because they needed something to beat Radar Detectors.First off, there's no such thing as a "cop detector". Trapster is probably the closest to what you're looking for but it's still no substitute for proper countermeasures.

The cop buddy doesn't matter. I'm not doubting its existence. The IR device is a speed enforcement device but it's not radar if it uses IR. Radar doesn't mean "any speed measuring device". It refers to a specific range of the electromagnetic spectrum (which IR does not fall into).Trust me,I have a Cop buddy. The new radar they use is IR because they needed something to beat Radar Detectors.
There are plenty of threads in this very forum with all sorts of suggestions. Are you looking for any particular types of apps?Does anyone know some really cool apps. I have had the phone for a month or so but am just now getting into it.
You can pick up scatter with the V1 but it's not worth counting on. The V1 is still very useful for intercity and interstate travel.Which has effectively made my $400 Valentine 1 a fancy paperweight...
If your that worried - dont speed. Obviously, it is not worth it. Cops move. Radar equip vehicles - move. They can get you coming and going. Radar can be in "Stand by" mode until the speeder is spotted. Then, with a flick of a switch, it is on, and you, regardless of what brand of detector you have, are caught.

The instant on or PoP is not admisable in court because there is a warmup time required.
