Contacts Issue

I used to be able to just add contacts to my phone. Now its being weird after I reset it. It adds contacts to my google account. However it wont show up on my phone I have to move it from contacts in my gmail to my contacts section for it to show up on my phone. any help?

Go into contacts then press menu>display options, then select the gmail account that you're syncing your contacts from, and finally, make sure that all of the groups are checked.

This should take care of it.
