Contact transfer trouble?

Did anyone else have trouble with getting your contacts to this phone?

I tried two different ways (Sync way, Gmail way) and it still didnt really work. When I go to people-> menu -> view and I click the gmail one it doesnt show me anything in the all contacts window, it shows only the ones in groups.

Has this happened to anyone else?

make sure you are viewing "all" in your contacts and not just "groups"
At the bottom "groups" has the icon with two pages laying on top of each other... "all" has only one.
