Well I thought I would ask the first question today unrelated to 2.1

When I try to add a shortcut to a contact to my home screen the thumbnail of the contact comes out really small, about half the size of an app icon. I noticed that it only happens on contacts that are connected with my Facebook. If I use a contact that I manually added a picture to it comes out about the same size as the rest of the icons.

    Any ideas?

I don't have an actual answer for you, but a possibility.

Maybe the size of the icon downloaded to the phone via facebook is smaller than that of the contact images you create on your phone.

I am going to attempt unsyncing my FB, creating a new image for a contact and trying. I will post back when I am done.

    Okay, back.

I de-synced my FB contacts, leaving me with only the photos I had manually assigned to contacts. I added a photo to my wife's contact and re-synced FB.

I can only assume the image sizes are different, but on another note after syncing FB back up, it *did not* change her picture in my contacts to her FB picture until I removed the picture I manually applied to her contact AND it did not change the shortcut picture to her FB picture on my homescreen.

So you can override contact pictures from FB in your contacts, if that helps you at all.

I can't, at this time, figure out how to make the FB pic the same size as a normal contact pic.

Yeah, it looks like its the size of the little thumbnail previews of the main contacts list. Let me know if you get the same results or if anyone else has a contact with a facebook pic that works fine on the home screen.

Not a problem. I know while this might not be the ideal solution, if you don't delete your shortcuts often you should be okay :)
